Eating Vegetarian on the Meal Plan

All UGA Dining Commons offer vegetarian options. Build meals around lean protein sources like beans, lentils, quinoa, tofu, or vegan burgers. Get a variety of vegetables, fruits, nuts, grains, and fortified foods to get enough iron, zinc, calcium, and B12.

For Fall 2020, the following items are served daily in Bolton, Oglethorpe, and the Village Summit:

Lunch and Dinner

  • Bean of the Day with Brown Rice
  • Fresh Steamed Vegetable of the Day
  • Vegetarian Lunch Entrée
  • Vegetarian Dinner Entrée
  • Vegan Burgers
  • House Salad and Caesar Salad
  • Fresh Fruit, Fresh Fruit Cups, Applesauce
  • Hummus with Pita Chips
  • Peanut Butter or Sun Butter & Jelly on Honey Wheat Bread

Breakfast

  • Soy Milk with Cereals
  • Oatmeal and Fresh Fruit
  • Breakfast Muffins and Pancakes
  • Scrambled Eggs, Hash Browns, and Veggie Sausage Patties

  • Turmeric Stir Fried Tofu with Stir Fried Fresh Vegetables
