Dine-In & Bulldawg Box


While the coronavirus pandemic has posed several challenges, we remain committed to providing an exceptional meal plan program with access to a variety of dining options. That is why we are not only ensuring you have a safe and healthy experience as you come to campus, but that you also have flexible and easy dining options. During this period of temporary dining adjustments, the dining commons are open for meal plan participants and those using Paw Points and Bulldog Bucks. While we are temporarily adjusting some dining operations and menus in response to COVID-19, we are focusing on providing as extensive of a menu as possible during this time and are not limiting the number of times an all-access meal plan participant can visit the dining commons.

Those using credit/debit, Paw Points, or Bulldog Bucks to purchase food may do so at our restaurants, coffee shops, and market locations.

Important Information about 2021 - 2022 Dining Operations

We are currently working toward resuming normal dining operations for the start of the Fall semester and will continue to follow the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Georgia Department of Public Health (GDPH), and University System of Georgia (USG) guidelines to safely adjust operations when appropriate.

Please note the information below is subject to change based on health and safety guidelines. We will communicate additional updates as they become available.

Ways to Dine:

Dine-In

When appropriate, based on CDC, GDPH, and USG guidelines, in addition to opening Snelling for full dine-in service this fall, tables and chairs will also be added in dining locations to increase capacity. We are planning for all the stations in the dining commons to be open, offering even more customizable and rotating menu options. Team members may continue to serve the food to you at some stations. When appropriate based on CDC, GDPH, and USG guidelines, these serving lines will transition to a self-serve option.

We are also planning for seating areas in retail dining locations such as Starbucks and Bulldog Café to reopen. Select retail dining locations will continue to offer mobile ordering.

Carry-Out

Bulldawg Box Returns 

For the 2021 - 2022 Academic Year, meal plan customers can continue to enjoy to-go options from our dining commons through our Bulldawg Box program. Meal plan customers may register for the reusable, environmentally safe, sustainable to-go container at our One Stop Shop. Containers will be available at the cashiers' stations and exchanged for one new box at each visit. 

Quick Markets 

As we expand dine-in seating capacity and resume full-service at all our locations including Snelling, we will transition away from the three Quick Markets that were temporarily introduced to provide additional support during the pandemic when capacity had to be reduced. Grab-and-go options remain available in our retail Markets  and Campus Market Express locations around campus which accept Paw Points, Bulldog Bucks, and credit/debit. 


Dishware

We plan to transition back to our standard dishware, glasses, and silverware therefore reducing many of the single-use items such as paper plates, condiment packets, bottled beverages, pre-packaged items, etc. that were introduced due to the pandemic.


Food Safety Practices

  • To minimize the potential for pathogen growth, cold food needs to stay below 41°F, and hot food needs to stay above 135°F.
  • All food items taken out should be consumed or refrigerated within two hours. Refrigerated leftovers should be consumed or discarded within two days.
  • When reheating refrigerated food, the food must be reheated to at least 165°F within two hours of removing it from refrigeration.
