Peer Nutrition Educators
Peer Nutrition Educator
Name: Diana Ricketts Year and major: Senior, Dietetics Hometown: Peachtree City, GA Favorite food: Spaghetti & Meatballs Why you picked your major: I came into college with an interest in nutrition and really enjoyed my nutrition classes. Food fosters community in a unique way, and I was captivated by that concept. Throughout my time at UGA I have been able to explore more about nutrition and chose dietetics so I can work in a field that I am excited about! Why you wanted to be a PNE: I wanted to become a peer nutrition educator in order to be more knowledgeable when talking with others about nutrition. Most people that I’ve spoken with seem to be interested to some degree about nutrition because everyone has a stake in food. I’ve discovered the benefits of healthy eating in my life and I wanted to be able to share that with others as an ambassador for proper nutrition!
