Starting May 10, 2019, at 2:30 p.m., Bone Appetit will close for renovation. Over the summer months, the University of Georgia will upgrade the unit into a new self-serve micro-market. Micro-markets are on the leading-edge of today’s food service trends for Colleges and Universities across the nation. With their self-serve technology, the location is able to continuously stay open allowing individuals in the building to purchase food anytime they wish. The micro-market will be the first of its kind at UGA and is anticipated to expand to multiple locations across campus to meet the needs of our on-campus community. Micro-markets are designed to be able to carry a varied selection of convenience items including hot and cold beverages, fresh grab-and-go sandwiches and salads, snacks, over the counter medications, and educational supplies. The micro-market is anticipated to open for the fall 2019 semester.
