Associate Director of NutritionThis is professional work in the area of nutrition education, nutrition research, nutrition counseling, menu development, and nutrient analysis. The Associate Director of Nutrition will direct and provide oversight to the nutrition education efforts within UGA Dining Services. The Associate Director of Nutrition collaborates with Auxiliary Marketing, the Associate Director of Operational Support, Associate Director Residential Dining and the Executive Chef to plan and develop programming for residential dining. The Associate Director of Nutrition oversees the department Registered Dietitian, Dietetic Technician, student staff, and support nutrition clericals, student interns, and support staff. This individual will supervise oversees nutrition counseling to students and supervises nutrient analysis, ingredient, and allergen reporting systems. |
Associate Director of Retail DiningThe Associate Director of Retail Dining is responsible for planning, organizing and directing a diverse staff in retail dining operations, including both self-branded and nationally-branded concepts. The Associate Director of Retail Dining is responsible for financial status of the above operations and the cost efficient management of these operations. The Associate Director of Retail Dining is responsible for knowledge of all safety/health regulations and ensures consistent compliance in all units. |
Cook ISkilled cooking work in the preparation of foods for a Dining Commons. Work involves the general preparation and cooking of a variety of foods, or the specialized preparations of meats and vegetables. Works under the supervision of a Cook 2 or Chef. |
Dining Services Repair TechnicianThis position is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing commercial kitchen equipment, performing general building maintenance task and preventative maintenance for equipment and dining facilities. General maintenance task will consist of performing a variety of physical labor task at variable rates to include plumbing, electrical work, painting, wall covering, low-grade construction, etc. Dining Services Repair Technician - Auxiliary Dining Maintenance |
Food Service Worker IThis is manual and semi-skilled work involving a variety of food service duties in dining hall or cash operations kitchens. Work involves responsibility for serving foods, cleaning facilities, and in preparing serving line meals. Food Service Worker IIThis is manual and semi-skilled work in the performance of advanced food service duties in dining hall or cash operations kitchens. Work involves limited supervision over subordinate food service workers engaged in serving foods and cleaning facilities for limited food preparation tasks and for related food service duties that are more advanced and responsible than the duties of Food Service Worker I. |
Materials Handler IIThis position performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies. The Materials Handler II provide on the job training and problem solving to others, and assists with the operation, closing and cleaning of facilities. |
Point of Sale ManagerThe Point of Sale Manager is responsible for the management, support and technical assistance of the departments’ point-of-sale register program. Responsibilities include providing oversight for the Card Management system and the Meal Plan Portal. This position also serves as a back-up to the FoodPro Manager and Assistant Manager and the Database Administrator Specialist. |
Purchasing ManagerThe Purchasing Manager supports the on-going needs of Dining Services, facilitating the procurement of all food, supply, and equipment items to provide the most applicable product for the intended use at the lowest available price. The Purchasing Manager supervises activities of assigned staff and effectively directs the daily operations of the Dining Central Warehouse to ensure products are received, stored, and delivered safely. |
Retail Dining Assistant ManagerThis position is responsible for administrative and supervisory work in Food Service Management. Work involves planning, organizing and directing food service work at retail locations and assisting the Retail Dining Manager in oversight of food quality and production. |
Retail Dining Sales AssociateThis is general work preparing and serving food as well as clerical work with processing financial transactions and handling cash and payment cards. Sous ChefThe Sous Chef is a highly skilled food preparation worker who will assist the chef in the preparation of a wide variety of meats, fish, starches, casseroles, breads, vegetables, and desserts. Knowledge and skills in food quality, food safety, and food preparation will be needed. The person in this position will work with very limited supervision and may lead other employees to complete assigned tasks. |
Assistant Director of Golf Operations
The Assistant Director of Golf Operations is responsible for providing leadership and oversight in the Golf Operations area of the golf course facility. The individual is responsible for the ongoing development and enhancements of the Golf Operations program for the Golf Course while ensuring continued outstanding customer service within the facility. This employee is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for continuous process improvement and reviews outcomes to effectively measure the sustainability of all programs implemented.
The Assistant Director of Golf Operations is responsible for short and long-term budget
development and capital plans for Golf Operations and may aid in providing feedback
and support to the Director of Golf & Sales, General Manager for the overall Golf
Course operations budget.
Bus Operations SupervisorThis position is responsible for providing supervision for the daily operation of the campus transit system. This work involves both direct and indirect oversight of bus operators on routes and during inspections. This position is also responsible for performing administrative tasks including payroll review/approval and support for the Transit Dispatcher in their absence. On occasion, this position may operate buses on routes and special charters. |
Bus OperatorSafe operation of buses on campus routes and occasional charters. Complete paperwork associated with assignments. Follow written and verbal instructions as required by supervisory personnel. Occasional bus washing and other non-driving tasks are required from time to time. Applicants must submit to drug and alcohol testing as required by the US Department of Transportation. |
Bus Operator ExaminerThe Bus Operator Examiner will ensure compliance with state and federal rules and regulations pertaining to third party driver examinations and safely operate a transit bus on scheduled routes and charter operation in conformance with University, state and federal requirements and policies. |
Bus Operator TrainerThis position provides effective one-on-one training to new operators and trainees. When not actively training, this position will be utilized in the safe operation of buses on campus routes and occasional charters. This position may participate in various related administrative functions as assigned by management as well as offer support to day-to-day transit operations based on departmental needs. |
Parking Applications AnalystThis position is responsible for ensuring system updates related to parking permits are correctly implemented. This position identifies and initiates appropriate and immediate actions to restore regular services with minimal downtime and impact to campus. Responsible for investigating recurring and related system failures/inefficiencies and identifying trends or sources of problems and initiating corrective action. |
Parking Services Deck MonitorThis position is responsible for the enforcement of parking regulations and operational policies in campus lots and structures. |
Parking Services SupervisorThis position directs the work of parking services monitors and Sr. monitors, approves, signs, and records the completion of work, and maintains records. Parking Services Supervisor - East Campus Deck Parking Services Supervisor - South Campus Deck This position handles a wide variety of administrative and operational duties including handling citation appeals, helping with permit sales, reporting and analyzing permit and lot count data, and ordering supplies for the office and parking decks. |
Transit PlannerThe role of the Transit Planner is to assist the Director and Associate Director of Transportation and Parking Services in the planning, coordination, and administration of public transportation services across the UGA campus. This position will perform professional work developing short and long-range transportation plans in coordination with local, regional, state and federal partners and assist in preparation and/or coordination with other departments for any documentation required. |
Transit Technician IIThis position troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs defects on fleet vehicles. The Transit Technician II performs maintenance on transit buses and other fleet vehicles in accordance with industry standards, safe practices and manufacturer’s specifications. |
Van OperatorTransport passengers with registered disabilities in an accessible van to and from various campus locations in accordance with applicable laws and department procedures. Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle as necessary. Inspect vehicle before, during, and after shift to ensure vehicle is in proper operating condition. Complete necessary paperwork, including time sheets and vehicle condition reports. Operates other vehicle equipment such as electronic AVL equipment and wheelchair ramps. |
AP/AR Accountant (Auxiliary Finance)This position is responsible for obtaining revenue from internal and external billings and paying invoices by verifying and completing payable and receivable transactions. The AP/AR Accountant acts as a liaison between the department, vendors and internal UGA departments/units/colleges, provides customer/vendor support, and identifies/interprets applicable policies and procedures. |
Business Analyst (Auxiliary Business Analytics)This position collaborates with Auxiliary Services Units/Departments and stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, processes and workflows. This individual will translate these requirements into functional specifications for technology teams and ensure successful project delivery. This employee is also involved in identifying areas of process improvement and recommending solutions to enhance Auxiliary’s overall operational efficiency and effectiveness including process optimization, cost reduction, and identifying fresh business opportunities. |
HR Generalist (Auxiliary Human Resources)The HR Generalist provides cross functional support to Auxiliary Human Resources. This position's primary focus is to aid in the initiation of transactional processes related to hiring and onboarding. In addition, this position will also be tasked with assisting in Employee Relations affairs and inquiries as advised by leadership. This may include, but would not be limited to: EOO matters, department employee relations, legal compliance, Worker’s Comp, FMLA, Leave without Pay, and ADA accommodations. |
PMO Project Manager (Business Process Improvement)The PMO Program Manager strategically coordinates staff to help field and manage a variety of resources for operations, including construction, procurement, equipment and use of technical systems and software applications. The PMO Program Manager acts as a liaison with all internal units and external vendors to effectively communicate and facilitate the execution and implementation of all project plans. |
Systems Administrator Associate (Information Technology)The Systems Administrator is responsible for designing, configuring, managing, and maintaining computer server systems, primarily Windows systems with an emphasis on a secure operating environment. This position will investigate recurring and related operating system failures/inefficiencies, identify trends or sources of problems, and initiate corrective action. |
Talent Acquisition ManagerThe talent acquisition manager will help us source, identify, screen, and hire candidates for various roles in the department. The incumbent will have excellent communication and organizational skills, experience in talent acquisition, proficiency with applicant tracking systems, and will devise sourcing strategies for potential applicants. The incumbent will have excellent interpersonal skills for working closely with others across various departments. |

This is manual and semi-skilled work involving a variety of food service duties in dining hall or cash operations kitchens. Work involves responsibility for serving foods, cleaning facilities, and in preparing serving line meals.
Golf Maintenance Assistant (Summer)
The role of a golf course maintenance employee is to assist with the daily maintenance and preparation of the golf course in order to provide the best possible playing conditions to the patrons of the UGA Golf Course.
Bus Operator (Part-Time)Safe operation of buses on campus routes and occasional charters. Complete paperwork associated with assignments. Follow written and verbal instructions as required by supervisory personnel. Occasional bus washing and other non-driving tasks are required from time to time. |
Compliance Monitor (Part-Time)This position enforces parking regulations and operational policies in campus lots and structures. |
Maintenance Assistant (Part-Time)The Maintenance Assistant performs semi-skilled tasks on the transit bus fleet at the University of Georgia. Duties include fueling Diesel buses, dispensing Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), Plugging in and monitoring electric buses, cleaning buses, and performing basic cleaning maintenance. |
Parking Event StaffThis position provides parking information and direction to customers and manages the flow of traffic in and around the parking lot to keep traffic moving smoothly, ensure that drive lanes remain clear, and to allow for shuttle entry/exit. |
